| Golden Perch: commonly known as "Yellowbelly". Olive green above with golden sides and belly. A native freshwater species found in similar locations in Australia as the Murray Cod. It is also bred in hatcheries for release as fingerlings into Lakes & Dams on an annual basis. A reasonable fighter, and is caught mainly with bait such as yabbies, shrimps, grubs and worms. |
