MARLIN: Three main types are..Striped,Blue,& Black. Caught usually offshore near the Continental
Shelf, where they breed, and can be found along the East, West, and northern coasts of Australia. Sizes
as follows: Striped....Average is 90 to 135kg....Max. 320kg.Great fighters when hooked, and
can be caught trolling Lures or Live bait. Blue....Average is 200kg. Black....Range from 70kg to 450kg. |
